About the Author

Hi! My name is Derrick Byford, a 73 year old who has found enjoyment just in the last few years writing books for children and on adult topics that interest me. I have always lived in South East London, England in or near the best Village in London - Blackheath.

After a lengthy career in computing, taking in spells with the Inner London Education Authority, the Greater London Council and finally IBM where I was awarded the title Master Inventor for having more than ten patents registered. I am now retired, playing much golf as a member of the oldest instituted golf club in the world (so we claim) - The Royal Blackheath Golf Club, and of course writing lots of books.
